Peace Lutheran Church

Knowing Christ. . .Making Christ Known

The logo of Peace Lutheran Church, featuring an abstract palm tree with three frond that are labeled "Restore, Refresh, Renew". In front of the palm tree, there is a dove in flight and then the words Peace Lutheran Church, Peace being "underlined" with waves to signify our nearness to the Gulf of Mexico.

Why we do what we do

Jesus is the head of Peace Lutheran Church.  Therefore, He is the driving force of our congregation, our central focus and the reason we exist.  We want to help people have a saving relationship with Him.

God’s Word and Sacraments are the cornerstones in our Journey of Faith.  Therefore, Peace Lutheran Church is called to be faithful to God’s Word and Christ’s Mission as expressed in the teachings of the Lutheran Church.

Jesus commands us to pray and promises to hear and answer our prayers.  Therefore,

prayer is the foundation for all we do.

Jesus came to earth to seek and save the lost.  Therefore, seeking the lost will always be a high priority at Peace.

God has created every individual with a need to worship and praise Him.  Therefore, worship is the most significant event in the life of the church.  Peace is committed to having a worship service that is inspirational, alive and relevant to contemporary society.

God designed the family as the place for faith development and reinforcement.  Therefore, Peace Lutheran Church will help to strengthen and encourage faith development within the family unit.

God blesses all believers with unique gifts and abilities.  Therefore, Peace exists to help God’s people to discover and use their spiritual gifts for service in His Kingdom.

Jesus calls us to grow in grace and in our knowledge of Him as our Lord and Savior.

a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ.
